DRS TECHNOLOGIES’ RECEIVES ORDER FROM ELBIT SYSTEMS OF AMERICA FOR MILITARY RUGGED TABLET (MRT) COMPUTERS SELECTED FOR U.S. ARMY’S FIRECON PROGRAM
August 2009 -- DRS Technologies, Inc., announced today that it received a $3.4 million contract, to provide Military Rugged Tablet (MRT) systems for the U.S. Army Mortar’s Firecon program at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey. The contract was awarded to DRS by Elbit Systems of America in Fort Worth, Texas. The systems are designed and manufactured at the DRS Tactical Systems business unit in Melbourne, Florida.

February 28, 2008 -- DRS Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: DRS) announced today that it received a contract, not-to-exceed (NTE) $98.3 million to provide JV-5 ultra-rugged vehicle computing and display systems for the Force XXI Battle Command, Brigade and Below (FBCB2) and Blue Force Tracking (BFT) programs to support U.S. Army and Marine Corps (USMC) situational awareness requirements. The company received the contract from the Army's Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM), Life Cycle Management Command at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
