U.S. ARMY’S CHOICE FOR CHS-3
 DRS’s Handheld Terminal Unit (HTU) provides a lightweight, ultra-rugged, fully sealed computing device. The HTU is a product based solely on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technology, providing the most cost-efficient solution for the battlefield. The HTU’s design meets the most demanding V3 environmental requirements, to include MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 compliance. HTU optional configurations include embedded TCIM, and embedded SAASM GPS.
The HTU is the solution to mobile computing in any demanding environment. Potential HTU applications include:
